Gia has an extensive corporate management experience both in her native Kazakhstan and in the US. 

In 2003 Gia has moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming a filmmaker. In 2008 Gia founded The Los Angeles based film production company, Mount Helix Films developing and producing international film projects. 

In 2013 Gia launched Hollywood Film Academy, a Los Angeles based company with a subsidiary in Almaty, Kazakhstan. HFA had obtained an official trademark for education, representation and merchandise. HFA specializes in the instruction of film production and functions as an international film production company offering variety of services: production, postproduction, distribution, marketing, awards campaigns management (Golden Globes, Oscar). 

Gia Noortas and her international team developed and produced several films including feature film My Husband’s Wife (aka Tokal), produced and co-directed by Gia. My Husband’s Wife has been one of the front runners for the best foreign language category at the Golden Globe 2017. Gia has been nominated for a best female actress category at Kazakhstan’s National Academy of Motion Pictures and Arts for her role in this picture.

Since 2011 Gia has been building both cultural and business bridges internationally. This includes the production of Kazakhstan: Montage of Cinemas Film and Cultural Festival, Tengri: Montage of Cultures in Hollywood as well as Asian World Film Festival in Los Angeles.

In the past two years Gia Noortas has been hosting, starring and producing TV shows in USA, Turkey and Philippines, including The World’s Best (CBS), The World Of Cinema (TRT), and Secrets Of Movie Making (Manila Up TV).

Gia manages the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in Los Angeles, bridging both cultural and business relations. This included the launch of Kazakhstan: Montage of Cinemas Film and Cultural Festival in Hollywood as well as Tengri: Montage of Cultures.
